first_imgThe Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology, at the UFHealth College Of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty member at thetenure or non-tenure accruing level of Associate/Full Professor toserve as Division Chief. Provide inpatient services to patientsadmitted to the Pediatric Neurology Service and the GeneralAttending Service on a rotational basis with other divisionalfaculty. Teaching of housestaff, fellows and medical studentsassigned to this inpatient and outpatient service. TheDivision serves a diverse spectrum of child neurology patients witha wide range of neurologic disorders from across Florida and theSoutheast. The Division’s practices provide advanced care inseveral areas including epilepsy (NAEC Level IV), stroke, neonatalneurology (Level IV NICU), neuromuscular disease, movementdisorders, neuroimmunology, spasticity/cerebral palsy, andtraumatic brain injury (Level I trauma center). Faculty strive toprovide a patient-centered approach, where care is focused ontherapeutic options optimized for each patient. In addition toproviding outstanding clinical care, the Division focuses on majorresearch efforts that broaden the knowledge of pediatricneurological disorders and on the translation of novel researchfrom the bench to the bedside to bring the most advanced therapiesto every patient. The Division also seeks to provide outstandingeducational opportunities for medical students, residents, andfellows.The University of Florida is a particularly collaborativeenvironment, with faculty working across divisions, departments,and colleges.
